Care instructions

The life of a swimsuit is full of challenges, and your little Choos’in will not be spared!

What Can Damage Your Swimwear

Your swimwear will be exposed to sunlight, chlorine, sea salt, sunscreen, frequent washing, and temperature changes…

And above all, it will often spend most of its time damp or stored in the dark at the back of a cupboard all winter long!

Swimsuits are far more delicate than many other garments due to their specific fabric containing Lycra.

So here are a few tips to help keep your swimwear looking its best for as long as possible!

After each use, rinse your swimsuit thoroughly in cold water!
This helps remove sand, chlorine, and salt from the sea. Avoid hot water, as it can damage and stretch the elastic fibers.

Always untie all knots after wearing it…
…otherwise, friction and overstretching may cause premature wear of the fabric. None of the swimsuits from Choos’in’s first collection have knots, but who knows, maybe in a future collection!

Wash it regularly
Even though the fabric can technically be machine washed at 40°C, we strongly recommend avoiding the washing machine (even on a delicate cycle) for your swimsuits—Choos’in or any other brand. Prefer a quick hand wash instead.

Wash and wring gently
When cleaning your swimsuit, there is no need to scrub harshly or twist it aggressively. Gentle pressing is enough.

Top and bottom… two soulmates
Do not separate them when washing. Wash top and bottom together so they age at the same pace.

Use a mild detergent
Marseille soap, shampoo… Never use fabric softener or bleach, even for white swimsuits, as they damage the elastic fibers.

Dry your swimsuit in the shade
Although it may be tempting to dry it in the sun to speed things up, this is strongly discouraged. Sunlight and heat can fade the fabric and damage or “burn” the elastic fibers.
And forget the tumble dryer!

Never leave your wet swimsuit bunched up for more than a few hours
Prolonged moisture can affect the quality of the fabric… and cause unpleasant odors.
